Alan has been invited to show a small selection of works from his Goalkeeper Series in an exhibition organised by JHW Fine Art, to co-incide with the World Cup 2010, at Gallery 27, Cork Street, London. The exhibition runs from June 21st to June 26th 2010.

In April 2010, Alan was successful in his application to become a member of the Royal Cambrian Academy.

Alan with Professor Maurice Cockerill RA. Keeper of The Royal Academy of Arts who presented him with First Prize in the Wales Portrait Award 2 competition at the Williamson Gallery Birkenhead on March 1st 2008.
